Boldly Going: Exploring the Unknown in Business and Life
When someone asked me about the last time I stepped out of my comfort zone, it really got me thinking. Honestly, I've been lingering in that discomfort zone for a while now, especially as I've been hustling to build my new company. It's a wild ride of emotions - fear, uncertainty, excitement - all tangled up together.
I'll admit, I often find myself frozen in fear by the sheer enormity of what lies ahead. The unknown can be paralyzing, leaving me feeling way out of my depth. But somehow, I always manage to push through. What other choice do I have, right? And you know what? It's never as bad as I imagine
I have made a lots of strides in the solo-preneur journey and I am proud of myself. Proud of my effort, proud of the courage it takes to put myself out there, despite the fear that often creeps in.
I've always had a thirst for adventure, even though it scares me. Take my recent trip to Argentina, for instance. There I was, faced with a daunting 700-meter climb. The doubts flooded my mind - How hard will it be? What if it's too cold? Are there wild animals lurking in the shadows? But once I took that first step, all those fears melted away.
Standing at the summit, with the wind in my hair and the world at my feet, I felt invincible. In life, just like that, one should set out to conquer the trail, climb the mountain and even if tired or scared, to keep going. There are beautiful surprises waiting for you along the way, to help you keep going and when you reach the top, tired and out of breath, you’ll realise how happy, fullfilled, present and grateful you are for the opportunity to even begin the climb and for your body and mind that took you there.
Moments like these remind me why I dive headfirst into the unknown. Life's an adventure, and it's up to us to grab it by the horns. It's in these moments that we realize we're capable of far more than we ever imagined.
